Abstract For solving a problem of thermotechnics within the limits of definition of the limit of fire resistance, the algorithm of solving of mathematical model is developed describing warming up of steel constructions with applied fire protection. The model is based on the method of elementary thermal balances of A. Vanichev, adapted for the solution of tasks of fire resistance by A. Yakovlev. For the automation of carried out calculations the software has been developed. The availability of the algorithm is confirmed by results of natural fire tests carried out on the training ground of the Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergencies of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Republic of Belarus.
