Abstract With the help of mathematical planning of experiments determined the improved relations between the basic components of a mixture of flame retardant for slow-composite material based on polyurethane mark “Izolan-125”, promising to use as active or passive means of limiting the spread of fire by the cable shafts civic buildings. It is established that the fire resistance of the material produced increases with the content of flame retardant mixture of reagents containing chlorine, phosphorous and nitrogen. The absolute values of the model indicate that the greatest effect on fire resistance has chlorine and phosphorus flame retardant mixture. This in turn suggests that for the studied polyurethane systems characterized by a complex mechanism of action flame retardant system: volatile halogenated products in the gas phase reduces the temperature of exhaust gases and increased formation of phosphorus-containing products in the presence of carbonized insulating layer in the condensed phase.
