| Abstract | According to the applicable technical regulations the required structural fire resistance for residential and public buildings doesn’t depend on the value of the fire load in the compartment. It is mostly related with building fire resistance rate, which depends mainly on the number of floors and the building area (fire compartment). The actual structural fire power is the function of a possible fire in the compartment, so the relationship between building fire resistance rate and structural fire resistance requires careful study. It is an urgent task because today the technical regulations are turning to the real impacts designing.
