| Abstract | The review of references and standard legal and technical regulations in the field of protection of the population and territories against emergency situations and Civil Defense of Republic of Belarus is carried out. The main protective measures carried out in cities at natural and man-made emergency situations are studied as well as the ways of protection of population from military attacks.
